Fortemedia, a company specializing in voice processing technology, revealed that its state-of-the-art voice processing technology, "Listen and Sound Better. Anywhere!" is currently deployed in Metro PCS's new Coolpad Quattro 4G phone.

"Listen and Sound Better. Anywhere!" is Fortemedia's new voice processing chip, and removes background interference, noises and echoes while maintaining the integrity of the natural voice.
"Today's smartphones must deliver excellent voice quality and pleasant call experience for all mobile users. With increasing demand for Fortemedia's voice processing solutions by the leading handset makers on their signature phones, we will continue to innovate and partner with companies like Coolpad to deliver superior solutions to the marketplace," Paul Huang, chief executive officer at Fortemedia, said in a statement.
The Coolpad Quattro 4G is noted to be sleek, stylish and quick, which offers an exciting way to keep in touch. With its 1GHz processor downloading, games, moves and apps are done quickly and easily. Users of the new Coolpad Quattro 4G phone will now have their voice understood easily, and Fortemedia's new chip also brightens the voice to make it stand out from background noise in the environment, allowing for ease of talking and listening.
The technology is delivered on the Fortemedia chip, which has been used in mobile phones, tablets and mobile devices, as well as in automotive applications.
"This is our first smartphone launch in US market and we want to make sure we serve our mobile customers in the best possible way," said Su, vice president Marketing Department at Coolpad.
"Fortemedia's voice processing software, "Listen and Sound Better. Anywhere!" fits the bill and allows our users to have a clear conversation regardless where they are or whom they are talking to," Su added.
Back in July 2011, TMCnet reported about Fortemedia's FM34-500, a dual microphone noise suppression and echo cancellation chip for mobile applications based on its SAM VE. The voice inclusion zone created by SAM VE thoroughly isolates caller's voice and filters out unwanted background noises. The result is a pure and clear full duplex conversation with superior voice quality for mobile communications and voice search applications.
