AVAYA News - DoubleHorn's SIPedge Solution Receives Avaya Compliance
By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer
DoubleHorn Communications' SIP trunking solutions, SIPedge, is now rated as compliant with select unified communications and collaboration solutions from Avaya (News - Alert). Since DoubleHorn is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program, it is eligible to submit products for compliance testing at the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab — where a team of Avaya engineers develop a test plan for each application to verify its compatibility — at any time.
The Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program is an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that are interoperable with Avaya technology and enhance the value of a company's investment in the Avaya network.
“Technology partners such as DoubleHorn help enable the adoption of Avaya solutions by providing managed services such as secure and interoperable hosted SIP trunks, integration deployment support and ongoing network and telco services," said Eric Rossman, vice president of Developer Relations at Avaya. "DoubleHorn’s SIP trunk solution provides our mutual customers faster and more cost-effective deployment of IP Office and Avaya Aura."
SIPedge is best suited for enterprises that require secure, interoperable and tightly integrated session-based communications. Meanwhile, enterprises that have multiple sites or a BYOD initiative in place will benefit from SIPedge's ability to deploy the trunking capacity needed almost instantly. Now DoubleHorn's solution has gotten even more attractive after completing compliance testing by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura Communications Manager 6.2, Avaya Aura Session Manager 6.3 and Avaya IP Office 8.1.
“As a managed services provider, it is our role to ensure our customers benefit from innovations based on open, standards-based platforms that help them incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively and uncover new possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure," said Tab Schadt, CEO of DoubleHorn. "Now that we are Avaya compliant with Avaya Aura and IP Office, we can enable more rapid, less complicated and more cost efficient adoption of UC&C applications by our customers."
