Avaya (News - Alert), a company that bills itself as a, "global provider of business communications and collaboration solutions," has pronounced its dominance in China as of 2011, according to a new report by Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).
The report has shown that Avaya had grown it market share in China by about eight points ahead of the next most prominent company in the region. It went up from 28.9 to 32.1 percent in China’s IP Telephony market.
This, coupled with the idea that the overall growth of the IP Telephony market in China was about 14.7 percent in 2011, shows just how much growth the company has experienced in a single calendar year.
“Enterprises in China are increasingly turning to communications technologies to enhance competitiveness, and IP Telephony is gaining wide acceptance among both large enterprises and SMEs,” said John Wang (News - Alert), managing director for Avaya in Greater China. “Avaya has substantially increased its regional and vertical coverage in China last year, and we are glad to see more and more enterprises in China are reaping concrete benefits from their investment in Avaya technologies, achieving faster collaboration, smarter decisions and better business results.”
Where did that popularity come from? According to the data in this report, two of the major contributors to that success are Avaya Aura 6.0 and Avaya IP Office 8.0, both of which are very popular and have become popular with businesses of all sizes. Many workers are therefore using these tools in order to meet their telephony needs in China.
The report, titled “Asia Pacific Enterprise Telephony Market, CY2011,” offers more details regarding other company rankings for anyone interested.
