AVAYA News - Arkadin Selects Avaya for Diverse Conferencing Services
By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor
Arkadin (News - Alert), a source of remote collaboration solutions including audio, Web and video conferencing, has selected to Avaya to provide the worldwide platform for its core audio conferencing service.
Thanks to Avaya (News - Alert) Meeting Exchange as the single worldwide platform for its core audio conferencing service, all Arkadin customers will now have access to the broadest feature set of any conferencing solution on the market, including easy on-demand access, sophisticated operator/administrator applications, conference recording and playback, and advanced customisable reporting.
Officials with Avaya said the platform comes complete with API-based developer toolkits and an open architecture that can be used to customize and brand Arkadin's conferencing interfaces, as well as integrate other services as they are offered – whether it’s instant messaging, presence indicators, calendars, Web conferencing or video.
"Avaya Meeting Exchange is a very resilient, reliable and flexible solution that enables us to give our customers high quality audio services, no matter where we deploy it,” said Thierry Bonhomme (News - Alert), audio product line director at Arkadin.
“The scalability of the product made it easy for us to migrate to IP technology which has helped us to reduce the cost of our infrastructure as well as operational costs, and benefited us in terms of the way we can price our services in a highly competitive market," said Bonhomme.
Edouard de Fonclare, managing director, Avaya France said that the quality of Arkadin's customer service depends on the consistent performance and functionality of the technology that underpins its products.
“As Arkadin expands to providing full remote collaboration through cloud based services it's vital that their core audio service based on Avaya Meeting Exchange can integrate with these new services smoothly and efficiently," said Edouard de Fonclare.
Avaya recently announced that the International University of Kagoshima has deployed the Avaya Energy Saver feature on Avaya's Ethernet Routing Switch (ERS) 5000 Series to reduce power consumption.
