AVAYA News - Avaya Introduces Avaya DevConnect Marketplace

Avaya (News - Alert), a global provider of next-generation business collaboration and communications solutions, introduced the Avaya DevConnect Marketplace and the addition of four new offers to its Select Product Program (SPP).

The DevConnect (News - Alert) Marketplace is a new website for customers and channel partners to search, explore, and engage business communications and collaboration solutions and services for businesses of all sizes from Avaya DevConnect Technology Partners. It was designed to be a rich, engaging Web environment to promote tested solutions, a key marketing tool for Technology Partner solutions, and a website where users can discover, explore and evaluate solutions which are interoperable with current Avaya product platforms.

"The introduction of the Avaya DevConnect Marketplace and expansion of the Avaya DevConnect SPP program demonstrates and reinforces our commitment to The Power of We,” said Eric Rossman, vice president of developer relations for Avaya. “By working with our DevConnect Technology Partners, we're able to offer the latest solutions and applications designed to support our customers' business collaboration requirements and extend the value of their investment in Avaya solutions."

Benefits of the DevConnect Marketplace include solutions visible to Avaya’s global audience of customers, sales teams and channel partner; richer, more comprehensive company and solution information; and lead capture and sales opportunity pipeline management tools.

DevConnect Marketplace visitors can also download customer case studies, review collateral and testing specifications and other relevant information.

Avaya also announced four software additions to its SPP. These new applications are the AdvaTel InTouch for IP Office, a Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook-based plug-in that provides enhanced capabilities, contact management and presence federation for small businesses; AMC Technology Contact Canvas, software that enables integration of Avaya contact center solutions with CRM applications for, Microsoft, Sap, Siebel, Oracle (News - Alert) and Peoplesoft; BBX Technologies Veusion Multimedia Contact Center, a provider of a robust contact center suite including blended multimedia skills-based routing, call recording, CRM integration and outbound capabilities for Avaya IP Office; and INI EQuilibrium from Interactive Northwest (News - Alert), Inc., a software load balancing and application dispatch solution for Avaya Voice/Experience Portal providing enhanced system availability and scalability for Avaya contact centers.

The use of video in business has accelerated in the last few years. Interactive video gets interactive video responses. These enhancements allow business to use video for advertisements, promotions, or as part of entertainment while keeping on hold waiting customers. Avaya has successfully implemented these technologies.
