By Kerry Doyle, Contributing Writer
When it comes to enabling collaborations in the workplace, there is nothing more important to the health and success of companies around the globe. The onset of the 24/7 business cycle has required the broad consolidation of communication tools. According to Brett Shockley, senior vice president and general manager, Applications and Emerging Technologies, Avaya (News A crucial skill for achieving success in businesses requires innovation which relates to creativity and represents an ability to take risks. It also is important to question pre-conceived ideas/concepts, to think “outside of the box,” and to see the bigger picture. Each of these aspects are served through the Avaya Virtual Enterprise Network Architecture (VENA) and Avaya Aura as the foundation. Avaya VENA enables enterprises or hosting companies to deploy a standards-based private cloud infrastructure that can be extended enterprise-wide from the data center all the way to the desktop and enable those outside the box collaborations. Working with companies like Orix Rentec will enable the Avaya Flare Experience Cloud Service, one of the world's first services, to provide the Avaya Flare Experience as a cloud-based offer.
