According to Evans in itbusiness.ca, the mobile collaboration tools from the IP Office 8.0 are the most sought after feature by SMB users. “As much as 60 percent of workers in the SMEs (small midsize enterprises) own mobile phones and they want to use these devices to connect with colleagues and clients as well as access files and application,” said Laura Evans, director for SMEs at Avaya. Along with the mobile features provided by the IP Office 8.0, the new version also integrates with Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce.com and Google (News With this capability users are able to make receive phone calls from a Salesforce.com page, as well as use visual voicemail within an employee’s Microsoft Outlook email window. Also, if business users are trying to make a conference call they can locate their contacts for Google Talk and IP Office in one spot and use the click-to-call tool. For Jeff Stark, technology director for Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, a 500 employee midsize organization, the mobility advancements in the Avaya IP Office 8.0 is the most comprehensive they’ve seen and is essential when running large locations. “We'll now have the ability to see who's available, where they are, and keep them connected into the team.
