AVAYA News - Avaya Sponsors ITEXPO East in Miami and Kicks off the Program with a Pre-Event Networking Event on January 31, 2012
By TMCnet News,
Norwalk, CT – January 6, 2012—TMC announced that Avaya (News - Alert) has expanded its relationship with TMC with their Platinum-level sponsorship of ITEXPO East, January 31 - February 3, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida. Avaya will kick off the program with a pre-event networking event entitled “Technology Transitions in Perspective,” discussing how collaboration and cloud computing will create challenge and change for IT organizations. This free seminar and networking reception, scheduled for the evening of January 31, will take place in Room B217, with the opening reception in the lobby foyer, and is open to ITEXPO (News - Alert) conference attendees.
Building upon five years of sponsorship for ITEXPO show, Avaya and their featured speaker, Judith Hurwitz, President of Hurwitz & Associates and co-author of Cloud Computing for Dummies, will share insights into how certain companies thrive during technology transitions while others fail to capitalize on early technology advantages. Avaya will also provide updates on technologies currently in transition, such as video and cloud computing.
“It isn’t easy to predict the winners and losers during periods of technology transitions,” explained Jon Alperin, Managing Director, Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert). “But there are still steps that companies can take, no matter what industry they are in, to capitalize upon these transitions to make their business operate more efficiently and deliver more effectively. During this session we will provide ITEXPO attendees with strategic steps to success.”
“Avaya’s technology overlaps so many aspects of the ITEXPO conference and their solutions target the full audience of resellers, enterprise customers, SMBs, and developers that walk the floor of the expo,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO and conference chairman for TMC (News - Alert). “We are thrilled to have Avaya join us for the first time at our East coast show, and we’re looking forward to sharing Avaya’s content with the audience in Miami.”
As an added bonus, Avaya is offering attendees who pre-register by January 16 a free, autographed copy of Judith’s latest book, Smart or Lucky? How Technology Leaders Turn Chance into Success.
“Avaya Technology on Tap: Technology Transitions in Perspective” is open to all ITEXPO attendees at no cost, although pre-registration is recommended.
